August 12, 1994 GO Transit Kidsummer Charter

Text and photos by Tom Luton.

Kidsummer is a series of summertime daily events for kids, one of which is a GO Transit charter trip. In August of 1994, my brother Nick and myself attended, and took a few photos with our new camera

The train started at Union Station, and then headed west on the Lakeshore line. We had a slow crawl through Willowbrook Yard, allowing us a look at several pieces of GO equipment. Then it was a run through the train washer (which drove the kids nuts), and then out along the Lakeshore line to Missisauga, where the engineer opened up the throttle and gave us a high-speed race back to Union Station

Enclosed are some photographs from this charter.
