Feature Photo
TTC GM “New Look” bus #7101 poses on Greenwood Avenue near Queen Street, in service on the 31 GREENWOOD route in the summer of 1980. This photograph was taken by Pete Cox. Further information was provided by Robert Lubinski.
This is one of the classic and current photographs we’ve added to the Transit Toronto web site as part of our growing collection of bus route histories. Jeffrey Kay and Peter Coulman, not to mention uber-mapmaker John Calnan, have been working away, cobbling together a detailed chronology of the development of the TTC’s bus route network from 1921 to today. Major route histories just added include 32 EGLINTON WEST and 29 DUFFERIN. At present, we have over 161 histories on site, and consider ourselves to be over half done. Stay tuned as more histories are added in the coming weeks.
